Frame two - Step three

Front two – Step three.   
     Frozen in place by what seemed to be a fictitious layer of ice, William crouched there motionless with his mouth agape. Both his eyes and flashlight were currently fixated on a rather wide crack in what he thought was an indestructible concrete basement wall. He didn’t quite know how to feel, should it be fear? No, it felt more like a state of denial, a state of anger. If his house had cracks in the foundation then it would only be a matter of time till the whole thing came crashing down on him. Above is the most recent part of the story I'm working on titled, "Fragmentation"

It's a story about a kid named William who struggles to survive in a post apocalyptic world. Nothing to overzealous in the science fiction department but I'm leaning towards a steam-punkish kinda era transformation...possible break down of society slash reverting to a more primal state of mind kinda thing.

I'm not weird.

Also?
I've been told I'm descriptive.
Just a heads up for you readers expecting short, choppy fighting scenes or something.

I'm also open to tweaks or a future storyline, so let me know what your thinking!

I haven't talked to you in a good while. I banned myself from the chats because they were preventing me from getting a life(?).

I just thought you should know that some friends and I have been talking about the zombie apocalypse and it made me think of you.

We've been seriously considering it, and not just joking around. We are all kind of hoping for one, mostly because we're bored (and what better way to spice up your life is there than killing zombies?).

So, if there is ever a massive zombie outbreak, give me a call. Me and my friends can meet up with you and your friends and we'll have ourselves a good old-fashioned human uprising.
